Keller faculty member Martin Johnson is currently part of the The Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center Residency Program in Italy. Bellagio offers academics, artists, thought leaders, policymakers, and practitioners a beautiful setting to work on a month-long independent project, and the opportunity to connect with 10 other fellow residents from a wide array of backgrounds and disciplines from around the world.
As a 36 year practitioner of sustainable urban development at Isles, which he founded as a student, Marty’s work and teaching at Keller aligns with Bellagio’s mission to promote the well-being of humanity, particularly through issues that have a direct impact on the lives of poor and vulnerable populations around the world. These issues include health, economic opportunity, urban resilience, as well as food and agriculture.
Marty is writing the 36 Year History of Isles and two Case Studies for the classroom.
