Solidarity in the XXI Century

Lech Walesa, founded Solidarity, the first independent labor union in the former Soviet bloc.  He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1983 and served as President of Poland from 1990 to 1995.  President Walesa will be in conversation with Margaret Martonosi, Hugh Trumbull Adams ’35 Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Keller Center, particularly focusing on his insights and experiences both in bringing about change and in making it last.
