Social impact entrepreneurship requires more than good ideas and capital, it demands the ability to navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems where traditional business models often fall short. Students will learn foundational entrepreneurship skills (evaluating ventures, raising capital, building teams) alongside advanced frameworks for navigating multi-stakeholder environments. The course integrates academic theories, such as Effectuation and Theory of Change, with applied practitioner frameworks including stakeholder navigation strategies, blended finance, social impact investing, capital raising, and strategic capital stacking principles.
