Speaker Bio

Shree Bose is a cofounder of Piper Inc., a Chaac Ventures portfolio company that sells build-it-yourself computer kits that teach children an introduction to computer science and STEM skills. Piper’s flagship product is the Piper Computer Kit. Piper also recently released the Piper Make platform, the first drag-and-drop coding platform for Raspberry Pi Pico.

As a student with a passion for science from an early age, Shree Bose was honored as the Grand Prize winner of the first ever Google Global Science Fair in 2011 for her work with drug resistance in ovarian cancer. After receiving an incredible platform, Shree spoke to students struggling to get started in STEAM, an experience she credits with inspiring her to become a STEM education advocate. Realizing a particular need for better tools for technology education, she co-founded Piper while she was an undergraduate at Harvard University. She graduated in 2016 with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology, and she is now completing her MD/PhD at Duke University School of Medicine.
