The Keller Center welcomes Lauren DeMeuse '06, investor and executive-in-residence at Austin, TX VC firm 8VC, for an informal discussion via Zoom on Friday, December 2nd. Lauren is eager to talk to students about topics ranging from:

  • entrepreneurship (e.g., joining and starting tech companies, assessing and/or building team culture),
  • managing your career (e.g., deciding on first job opportunity, assessing when to leave or change roles, exploring graduate degrees),
  • and investing (e.g. what makes a great VC pitch, how to fundraise). 

Speaker Bio

Lauren DeMeuse is currently an investor and executive-in-residence at 8VC. Prior to 8VC, Lauren was the CEO of Roam Analytics, an NLP software platform for healthcare that was acquired by Parexel International. Previously, Lauren spent almost 7 years at Palantir leading teams in healthcare business development, product development, and internal operations. Prior to Palantir, Lauren was an early member of Google Health, management consultant, and life sciences private equity investor.

Lauren received an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and graduated cum laude from Princeton University with an A.B. in Molecular Biology and a certificate in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
