This is a practical and interactive series to help students improve their ability to successfully invest in early stage companies and better understand how to raise capital.
Join us to learn how startups attract investments from angel, venture capitalist and growth equity investors. Attendees will analyze actual startup pitches and debate the pros and cons of making an investment. This series will be taught by a successful venture capitalist, entrepreneur, and Princeton alum, and will feature expert guest speakers sharing their best and worst investment tales from the exciting front lines of the venture investing world.
Speaker Bio
Brad Greenwald is a venture capitalist and the Managing Partner of Hilltop Venture Partners. Over the past 25 years, Brad has successfully invested in, founded and operated innovative start-ups. He also teaches Entrepreneurship in Executive MBA Programs.
Brad began his career at management consulting firm Bain & Co. Brad went on to management roles (sales/marketing and operations) in several high-growth businesses including Time Warner Cable and WildBlue Communications. He has helped raise over $400 million to fund start-ups including First To File, ClinOne and HelperBees. Brad founded several startups including Education Funding Partners (Regional Winner of the Harvard Business School New Venture Contest) and TidBitts.
Brad founded the Denver Angel Club in 2009, and is a mentor at Techstars and Blackstone Entrepreneur Network. His nonprofit Board of Directors roles include Colorado Public Radio, Oxfam America, Food Bank of the Rockies, and Operation Frontline. Brad is the co-Founder and Managing Director of the Evergreen National Education Prize and was named a Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute and received the SOS National Community Leader Award.
Brad received a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
