PeriMind is the first AI-powered copilot for anesthesia and procedural sedation, designed to transform perioperative care with real-time, patient-specific guidance. The company is physician-led: founded by a board-certified anesthesiologist, a Princeton alumnus who is now a spine surgery fellow, and current Princeton engineering students. Unlike existing healthcare AI tools that focus on retrospective documentation, PeriMind continuously integrates live physiologic signals (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, end-tidal CO₂) with historical patient data (labs, comorbidities, prior anesthetic records) to deliver explainable, evidence-based recommendations. This hybrid engine, powered by Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), expert-authored protocols, and retrospective case data, ensures transparency and clinical trust. By directly supporting anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and non-specialist providers in both OR and procedural settings, PeriMind addresses rising clinical workloads, enhances patient safety, and enables scalable, outcomes-driven anesthesia care.
