Former CEO of Spirit Airlines, Ben Baldanza *86, visited Princeton in Fall 2018 to talk about the economics of airlines and the advent of low-cost airlines. He discussed market realities and opportunities, as well as challenges for the future. Roughly 50 Princeton students were present for the event. Aviation and aerospace talks are few and far between at Princeton, and the Princeton Aviation Association is one of the only student organizations on campus that hosts talks related to aviation and aerospace. We learned that there are a lot of students at Princeton interested in aviation. On the surface, it would seem that it's an esoteric topic, but bringing in an esteemed speaker like Mr. Baldanza drew an impressive crowd.
