The fifth annual UPitchNJ, an innovative statewide collegiate business model competition showcasing the top young talent from twelve New Jersey Universities including Princeton, will be held May 1 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 in a live streamed, virtual format sponsored by Nokia Bell Labs.

Marcus Weldon, President of Bell Labs and Chief Technology Officer, Nokia, will deliver a keynote address to kick off the event followed by the student pitches. Teams will be judged on originality and creativity of their idea, the perceived ability to execute the idea and turn it into a viable, profitable business, and/or venture with significant social value as well as their oral presentation.

The competition’s aim is to highlight the ingenuity and creativity of today’s college entrepreneurs, who are increasingly launching businesses from their dorm rooms and University incubators.  As entrepreneurship educators in New Jersey, we want to provide a networking forum for students, mentors, and potential investors.
