Khalid Mahmood is the executive in residence at Princeton University’s Office of Technology Licensing with vast experience in supporting, promoting and driving new and important ideas in the life sciences and engineering fields.
He is a key player in the area of personal care products, as he was a member of the Fellows Organization at Johnson & Johnson, which is a small select group of scientists and engineers renowned for their expertise and R&D innovation leadership. He discovered and developed a healthy portfolio of natural actives in the field of Consumer Products duly supported by US and worldwide patents. He also was a member of the INCI Committee of Personal Care Council for 7 years.
His passion is to push health & wellness products or methods of high impact through to success, and he achieved that in the natural products and synthetic chemistry realms. Of particular note, he was a co-lead in establishing cross sector connections at Johnson & Johnson to promote and develop the use and application of High Throughput Screening (HTS) of natural products and extracts which facilitated the discovery of actives for consumer products and providing starting points for medicinal chemistry.
Khalid Mahmood will serve as a judge for the 2021 Innovation Forum STEM track.
