Jeff Phaneuf and his adventure-loving friends were frustrated with how difficult it was to plan high-adrenaline outdoor sports experiences. So Phaneuf and his team of thrill-seekers decided to create a solution by founding Adventurelist, an outdoor adventure marketplace that enables extreme sports enthusiasts to find experienced and professional guides and for those guides to discovered outdoor sports clients. Their daring startup launched earlier this week.

“Our mission is to make it easier for people to find guides and instructors who can teach them new skills and allow them to adventure into the wild safely,” said Phaneuf, a graduate student in the School of Public and International Affairs and a United States Marine.

The team built out their idea in the Keller Center’s eLab incubator program throughout the past academic year and recently began the eLab summer accelerator. “The eLab programs have given our team the time, advising, and resources needed to bring our venture from an idea to a reality,” said Phaneuf. The team’s passion, hard work, and dedication, paired with the resources, guidance, and access to Keller’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, gave them the jumpstart they needed to launch their startup in week two of the accelerator program.
