Cruise

Cruise is a Chrome extension connected to Google Docs to help increase writing productivity. It utilizes user keyboard text input and EEG data to predict when the user will approach a writing roadblock and offers user-specific solutions such as recommended research articles, scaffolding questions, or simply taking a break.

It is highly customizable thanks to the use of machine learning, allowing users to set their own goals on how much they wish to write. A user-specific break model keeps track of when, how many, and at what frequency breaks are taken and this helps direct the user during their writing process. Throughout the writing process, the user receives updates and guidance in real-time to make writing more seamless.
