Reclaiming outdoor spaces in a warming world—Clearly Cool brings radiant cooling innovation from lab to life.
Leads: Prof. Forrest Meggers, Dr. Eric Teitelbaum, Dr. Andrew Lowenstein
Departments: Architecture, Mechanical Engineering
Clearly Cool, led by Prof. Forrest Meggers and Dr. Eric Teitelbaum, has been selected for DFI funding to advance a radiant cooling technology designed to combat outdoor heat stress. The project exemplifies DFI’s mission by combining scholarly research, technical innovation, and entrepreneurial critique to reimagine public comfort in a rapidly warming world. With support from DFI, the team will design and demonstrate a mobile cooling shelter, moving this groundbreaking technology toward impactful real-world deployment.
