About the Company
Radicle helps the world’s leading companies, startups, and investors make faster decisions about investing in the future. Through primary and secondary research, Radicle helps businesses to understand new markets, the startups / incumbents who exist in that space, and potential routes to market (build/buy/partner).
Radicle sits at the intersection of Fortune 500 companies and startups - helping to serve as a bridge between the two so that relationships can form and flourish working with one another. We are like Gartner meets McKinsey: we help our customers better navigate the future by leveraging the knowledge of those who’ve been there.
We spend a lot of our time speaking with the Founders and CEOs of startups that are disrupting new markets and packaging our insights into clear digestible reports for our clients.
Internship Description
The Data Science Intern will work directly with Radicle's Head of Data, James Mao *20, on a variety of projects that will strengthen the defensibility of Radicle's business. Here are two examples of projects:
- Evaluating different data sources to complement Radicle's existing databases of startups, founders, and industries. The intern will help create benchmarks to assess data quality, run analysis, and help integrate the new data into our data pipeline.
- Developing new metrics that predict startup success. We have a set of proprietary metrics that currently drive value for our clients, but the intern will be given the opportunity to iterate on existing metrics as well as help generate new ones.
If there is interest, the Data Science Intern may also work on client-facing projects, helping the Radicle team construct the reports we deliver to our customers.
Additional Requirements
This is a remote work opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have existing programming knowledge, either in Python (preferred) or R. They must also be comfortable with working remotely.
