Sashank is the Co-Founder of axio (formerly known as Capital Float), one of India’s leading fintech companies. Under his direction, the company has grown to become a leader in digital finance in India, having pioneered innovations that have transformed the technology-led lending landscape in the country. The company today serves over 10 million customers across India, offering a range of digitally native consumer credit and personal finance products.
In addition to building axio, Sashank has also been instrumental in shaping India’s broader fintech ecosystem through his leadership in various industry bodies and policy think tanks. He was a founding member of the Digital Lenders Association of India, recently serving as its President, and has served on the fintech advisory councils of CII, FICCI, and Niti Aayog. Prior to axio, Sashank was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co. New York, where he advised several large financial institutions and governments across the firm’s U.S., Middle East, and India offices.
Sashank holds an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, and graduated magna cum laude in Economics & Finance from Princeton University. He currently lives between Mumbai and Bangalore and is passionate about Indian classical music, history, and art.
