Human-centered design begins with the premise that to design something worthwhile we must begin with empathy and observation. However, the exploration of data and broad context is sometimes missing. This talk will focus on ways that data can help raise question that will point us towards people to interview and engage. Fred Leichter, Founding Director of the Rick and Susan Sontag Center for Collaborative Creativity, will discuss this framework and show a case study from his professional experience. Come prepared to look and analyze.
