What attracted you to the Keller Center?

I like the focus on the student's creative and professional development. The projects supported by the Keller Center view the student as a leader instead of an apprentice, and that's really empowering for a person who might be undecided about their future or doubtful of their abilities. I wanted to get involved in something that would keep me engaged and knowledgeable about important issues.

How are you involved with the Keller Center?

I am a part of Tiger Challenge, more specifically on the Climate Change Vulnerabilities team. Our team is looking at how climate change has impacted the frequency and severity of natural disasters and other weather phenomena and how these trends have disproportionally affected vulnerable populations. Through increased resiliency efforts, we're hoping to increase emergency preparedness and improve emergency response efficiency.

What do you appreciate most about the Keller Center?

I appreciate the huge selection of snacks, tea, and coffee. There's always food around and everyone is very generous. Many people meet, catch up with, and bond with others through snacking on fruit bars and Sun Chips.
