I am happy to mentor Princeton University students participating in Keller Center programs about their startup/team's digital services (websites, web applications, etc.). Topics include information architecture, user experience, writing for the web, usability and accessibility best practices and testing. Schedule an appointment.
What are your responsibilities at the Keller Center?
I manage Keller Center's digital and communications initiatives, which include the website, social media, electronic newsletter, customer relationship management software, and other technology projects. My role involves investigating, architecting, and implementing digital solutions, and advising interested parties about best practices. This includes making sure the Center’s electronic offerings are usable, accessible and effective. Contact me with questions or concerns relating to the Center’s technology offerings.
I also co-founded the Program in Institutional and Historical Racism in Engineering, Technology, and Innovation.
Share an inspiring story about your time at the Keller Center.
Website projects often start with extensive discovery work to understand the technical and functional requirements. Soon after joining Keller, I interviewed a group of students to understand their pain points with the old site and wish lists for the new one when a student remarked, “With Tiger Challenge, you think you’re developing a product, but you’re really developing yourself.” It was a powerful moment that helped me really understand how meaningful this place is - Keller has a huge impact on students who then take the knowledge and tools they learn and practice here and help change the world.
How have you benefited from your involvement with the Keller Center?
In addition to being part of such a forward-thinking organization, I have had the opportunity to learn from and share my expertise with thought leaders in a variety of fields. It has been my pleasure to guest lecture at Keller classes and work directly with student teams on their website projects. Experiencing the energy and enthusiasm of such talented students involved in such impressive and inspiring projects has been a boost for me.
