About the Company
Time series is everywhere, and Timescale is helping developers and companies make sense of it.
Businesses worldwide trust TimescaleDB for mission-critical applications from industries as varied as manufacturing, SaaS services, finance and crypto, utilities, gaming, telecom, ad tech, oil & gas, logistics, and the smart home. Applications built on TimescaleDB include IT and DevOps monitoring, IoT, complex sensing and monitoring systems, geospatial asset tracking, operational data warehousing, and financial risk management; via the edge, on-premise, and cloud deployments.
The dev-ops team at Timescale works on creating observability tools that allow operators and developers manage their infrastructure. You'll become familiar with open-source observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, and develop integrations that allow those tools to store data in TimescaleDB. As a team that works with a variety of tools and projects, we are polyglots working in Golang, C, Rust, etc. We also work on and with open-source projects, so community and developer relations are extremely important and you'll see what it takes to build and sustain open-source projects.
As part of Timescale's cloud team you'll dive into what it takes to build and maintain a managed Database as a Service. You'll learn about and contribute to the microservices that power our offerings and interact with the Kubernetes infrastructure that is the backbone of our system. Golang is our workhorse language, but be prepared to get your hands dirty with anything from Postgres/Timescale queries to Kubernetes yaml configs to Terraform!
