The American system of government is based on legislative districts whose lines are drawn by legislatures and committees, sometimes without regard to where communities live. Adverse consequences include lack of representation and purposeful gerrymandering to deprive a community of its voice. Representable.org is a tool to allow citizens to report their communities in an easily displayed and uploadable form. The result is a database that is directly accessible for purposes of drawing fair maps.
