Solstice Initiative co-founders Steph Speirs and Steve Moilanen have been chosen as a finalists for 2015 Echoing Green Fellowships!

Solstice Initiative, a startup in the 2014 eLab Summer Accelerator Program, works with solar developers to build community solar arrays in which everyone can easily participate. They then partner with community organizations like churches, workplaces, and schools to offer solar power to their constituents. Any home can sign up—no rooftop required. Homes that sign up for community shared solar will start saving money on their electricity bills each month—and support clean energy in the process.

Social innovation emerges from every part of our globe. The 105 Finalists for the 2015 Echoing Green Fellowships are launching big, bold ideas to solve the world's biggest problems. Their solutions look at different problems, from all different angles, and they are working all over the world—in forty-four different countries. From advancing women’s rights and gender equality in Afghanistan to educating children living in urban slums in Kenya to workforce development in Detroit, we're deeply encouraged and inspired by the promise of this year's group of Finalists.

Learn about the Finalists and congratulate them—not just for making it this far, but for holding such deep commitment for driving social change. Stay tuned for the Fellows announcement in June!

Solstice Initiative is also seeking full-time volunteers (with the potential for transition to paid positions) to join their team in the areas of marketing, design, community outreach, and app/platform developers.
