My work involves helping leaders and organizations to navigate a future defined by uncertainty, disruption, and change. I serve on the board of directors of five companies (in technology, real estate, and banking) and previously held C-suite roles in financial services, where I specialized in enterprise transformation. I’m also a partner at Propel Performance Group, a Forbes.com contributor (where I write about leadership and strategy) and an international speaker. I’m Irish, married to John, a mother to toddler Rosie, and have five step-kids and two grandkids. I’ll be teaching workshops in Effective Communication and a class on Female Entrepreneurship.
What will students be able to take away from your classes?
During my time as the James Wei Visiting Professor, I’ll be teaching workshops in Effective Communications during the Fall Semester, and a class in Female Entrepreneurship in Spring 2021. Learning how to communicate well has been the singular most valuable skill I ever acquired and I’m excited to equip students with that confidence and capability. My class will illuminate the unique experiences and nuances experienced by female founders brought to life through a range of exciting guest speakers and self-reflection by the students.
How are you involved with the Keller Center?
I am the incoming James Wei Visiting Professor in Entrepreneurship for the academic year 2020-2021 and am thoroughly excited to be joining this vibrant and engaging community. In the spring semester, I will be teaching a class on Female Entrepreneurship where I’ll be leveraging my extensive network to share the real-life experiences of female founders with Keller Center students. I will also be teaching workshops in Effective Communication, which I consider to be the singular most valuable skill I ever acquired!
Share an inspiring story about your time at the Keller Center.
My first experience at the Keller Center was when I visited as a guest speaker for last year’s James Wei Visiting Professor, Paul Chamberlain. During my visit to campus, I had the opportunity to meet with students over lunch, attend a class, and give a talk at the Keller Center that evening. Needless to say, I was hooked! I was very taken by the collegiality, vibrancy, and the strong sense of purpose and community amongst everyone I met. I feel extremely honored to be joining this terrific community!
