What attracted you to the Keller Center?
I was attracted to the Keller Center because of the diversity of opportunities it provides students here. Every week I get an email from the Keller Center telling me about upcoming talks or competitions that I wouldn’t hear of otherwise, and even internship and job opportunities that most Princeton students don’t know about. They’ve even gone so far as to create job programs of their own; this summer I will be working for a startup in Tel Aviv thanks to the Keller Center.
What do you appreciate most about the Keller Center?
The Keller Center makes the process of taking initiative about as easy as it could possibly be. Every month different opportunities are sought out by the Keller Center and delivered straight to its students. In addition, if a student has an idea for a new initiative, the faculty of the Keller Center is eager to talk and provide advice, and big names in virtually every field that pass through Princeton may also be available to talk. They want their students to succeed, and they take action to make sure that can happen.
What advice would you have for students about getting involved at the Keller Center?
I would suggest that students getting involved in the Keller Center get in the habit of asking for help whenever it could be even slightly helpful. Its faculty are more than eager to help students, and if they can’t help you, they will connect you to others who can. Also, sign up for weekly emails and read through them. An unbelievable number of people come through to give talks on a regular basis, and there are just as many activities, internships, and jobs that you can find out about through the Keller Center that you won’t hear about anywhere else.
