A lifelong intra- and entrepreneur, Bill has worked with startups, corporations, investors, governments, and NGOs to create sustainable enterprises. In addition to being a leader of three Bay Area startups in the domains of e-learning, cleantech, and complex systems simulation, Bill was the Vice President, Innovation for Veolia, working across all businesses (water, waste, energy, and transportation) and across the world. Bill currently serves as a Senior Fellow at the U.S. Council on Competitiveness, a member of the advisory board to the University of Washington, and an advisor to variety of organizations worldwide. Bill has a Ph.D. in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon and BSE in Chemical Engineering from Princeton.
