Focusing on Africa, WellPower makes community scale solar-powered water filtration systems and a mobile application that is a 3-sided marketplace connecting water producers, water deliverers, and water users. We are using our solar water filtration systems to provide African communities with clean, safe water and install extra solar panels to power the energy needs of these communities. We will be partnering with local entrepreneurs who will then manage these systems and also help us in identifying economic opportunities that exist locally that will create a flow of income for them, and enable them to contribute to the financial empowerment of themselves and their communities. We will then train them with all the necessary skills to enable them manage the systems and grow their entrepreneurial skills. This way, we aim to develop the developing world’s potential by stimulating its youth and working population to take charge of their own personal and financial growth.
