eLab alums Thrive+ have made it to Shark Tank! 40,000 companies applied to Season 9 and only 92 made it to the big screen. We're proud to announce that Thrive+® is one of the 92!

Thrive+® is a startup that researches, designs, and manufactures products to reduce alcohol's next-day negative effects in a safe, effective, and socially responsible manner. Applying academic literature first published in The Journal of Neuroscience, Thrive+®'s founder, Brooks Powell brought lessons learned in the Princeton classroom to market with the help and guidance of mentors, including alumni specializing in chemical patent law and Keller Center professors of entrepreneurship. Today, Thrive+® continues its relationship with Princeton by having two Princeton biotech professors as equity-holding advisors to the company and performing its R&D through one of Princeton's research labs.

“I think what is most exciting about the opportunity to pitch on Shark Tank is that we will be able to tell our story about how Thrive+® was founded at Princeton, explain how Thrive+® could reduce alcoholism and other alcohol-use disorders, and showcase our vision for creating a healthier, happier, and safer way to consume alcohol--all in front of 5 million Americans on primetime television and for a solid 10 minutes!” Brooks stated. “We couldn't be more grateful for this incredible opportunity to showcase something we are truly passionate about.”

Powell and Thrive+® will be seen on Shark Tank on Sunday, February 25 at 10/9C on the NBC network.
