What attracted you to the Keller Center?

Curiosity – I was curious to see how my pre-medical path could overlap with the entrepreneurship, design and design thinking, and innovative education that the Keller Center offers. I wanted to branch out beyond the traditional route, and the Keller Center provided me an avenue to do so and explore other academic interests, as well as get a taste of what it feels like to work towards making a societal impact.

What advice would you have for students about getting involved at the Keller Center?

Do not shy away from exploring the various opportunities and programs that the Keller Center offers! Regardless of what year or major you’re in, there’s a program or initiative for everyone. As a pre-medical student, I never thought I would take part in a design thinking program, but the skills I’ve learned from Tiger Challenge will remain with me for a lifetime and be helpful to my future career as well.

How have you benefited from your involvement with the Keller Center?

This summer, I participated in the Tiger Challenge program as a member of E-QUIP. While initially unsure of what the project would entail, I’m very grateful for the self-improvements made and lessons learned during the experience. Tiger Challenge really pushed me to challenge my boundaries, allowing me to strengthen my leadership and communication skills. Working with my teammates has also been very inspiring, and I’ve learned a lot on how to think outside of the box and seek better and more innovative solutions.
