How are you involved with the Keller Center?

I am a member of the 2020 Tiger Challenge cohort, specifically serving on the Buyout and Buoyancy team. I wanted a summer opportunity that could tackle a real-world problem while having the independence to take my project in any direction I saw fit, and I couldn't have picked a better project to allow the flexibility and exploration that this internship provided.

What advice would you have for students about getting involved at the Keller Center?

If you have no idea what the Keller Center is and who's involved, don't let that scare you away! The staff and advisors I've met through this program are some of the most passionate and encouraging individuals I've met and will go above and beyond to support your aspirations and goals, whatever they may be!

How have you benefited from your involvement with the Keller Center?

Prior to the start of the summer, I had no idea where my academic or career goals would take me. Now, as a result of my time in the Tiger Challenge, I have a clearer sense of what I want to do in the future: implement actionable climate change policy in communities without isolating the voices of the people we are serving.
